iDS Magazine is partnering with SECON & eGISEC 2027 to promote this major annual event dedicated to Asia’s physical security and cybersecurity industries. Through this collaboration, iDS aims to help security, cybersecurity, and systems integration professionals in Taiwan gain deeper insights into international security technology trends, developments in the Korean market, and opportunities for cross-border cooperation.
SECON & eGISEC 2027 will take place from March 17 to 19, 2027, in Halls 3 through 5 of Exhibition Center 1 at the Korea International Exhibition Center, commonly known as KINTEX.
SECON, officially known as the International Security Exhibition & Conference, is one of South Korea’s leading international security exhibitions and conferences. Held concurrently, eGISEC—the e-Government Information Security Solution Fair—focuses on information security solutions for electronic government, public-sector organizations, and enterprises.
Together, the two events integrate physical security, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and public safety applications, creating an important technology showcase and business networking platform for Asia’s security industry.
SECON is jointly organized by South Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT and Informa Markets BN Co., Ltd., while eGISEC centers on electronic government information security solutions promoted by South Korea’s Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
By holding the two exhibitions concurrently, the event brings together physical security technologies such as video surveillance, access control, biometric identification, and homeland security. As AI, cloud computing, the Internet of Things, and edge computing become increasingly integrated into cities, transportation systems, factories, buildings, and public facilities across South Korea, SECON & eGISEC has also become an important platform supporting the convergence of physical security and cybersecurity.
SECON will enter its 26th edition in 2027. The event is expected to bring together more than 400 exhibiting companies, attract over 30,000 professional visitors, and feature more than 160 conferences, forums, and technical seminars.
Since its launch in 2001, SECON has gradually evolved from a Korean security equipment exhibition into an international professional event covering both physical security and cybersecurity. With the rapid growth of AI-powered video analytics, zero-trust architecture, cloud security, industrial control system security, smart cities, and automated systems, SECON & eGISEC continues to play an important role in market intelligence gathering, technology exchange, product demonstrations, and international business matchmaking.
From South Korea to Taiwan, and from physical security to cybersecurity, SECON & eGISEC 2027 will highlight the security industry’s continued development toward greater AI adoption, integration, and international collaboration.
As the digital systems supporting cities, buildings, transportation, manufacturing, and public services become increasingly complex, security technologies must also strengthen their capabilities in cross-system integration, real-time analysis, and risk response.
As an official media partner, iDS Magazine will continue to provide readers with coverage of the key highlights, innovative technologies, industry trends, and business opportunities presented at SECON & eGISEC 2027. Working together with the organizers, iDS will also help promote greater cross-border, cross-sector, and cross-technology exchange among the security industries of Taiwan, South Korea, and the wider Asian region.
